Every album has to start somewhere. In order to begin recording, we actually ran through and recorded a scratch track for each song we planned on putting on the full length. The scratch tracks are raw versions of the songs recorded live and meant to serve as a guide for the final cuts. DC served as the very backbone of our album. He set the ideal pace and energy that the rest of us had to follow and try to keep up with! Sometimes you just need an extra bit of motivation. Albert was there to provide DC with kind words and support, saying things like...Don't fuck up! Always be sure to have your lyrics readily available in case your mind goes blank! Twenty four songs doesn't really seem like much until you get in that booth and try to remember lyrics you wrote over five years ago. It also helps to have a glowing skull with a top hat by your side as well. Playback is a bitch! A very focused Danny is listening back to his guitar tracks and making sure that all is well. Above all else, it's good to have someone who knows what the hell they are doing behind the wheel. Lucky for us, Simple Jeff is one of the best. If you aren't having fun doing what you love, love something else. Music takes on an image of it's own. If you can't count on your friends, then they aren't really your friends now are they? Joe Koontz of Against All Authority joins us in the studio to add some special touches to a few songs.
